Ashland Craft returns with a fresh take on heartache in her latest single, Lie A Little.” Written by Kelly Archer, Bryan Simpson, and Mark Irwin, the song blends an easygoing, nonchalant vibe with an undercurrent of frustration—capturing the feeling of someone who’s used to goodbyes but still wouldn’t mind a softer landing.

Produced by Ashland Craft, Lee Starr, and Jess Grommet, and recorded at Gilded Palace in Nashville, TN, “Lie A Little” leans into Craft’s signature mix of raw authenticity and effortless cool. The track opens with a wry bit of self-awareness—"I know I like drinking too much / I know I stay gone too long"—setting the tone for a narrator who’s fully aware of their own shortcomings but isn’t about to beg for a breakup speech. Instead, they’d rather skip the cold, hard truth and get a half-hearted excuse instead of silence.

“This song has a very laid-back, I-care-but-I-don’t-care kind of attitude,” says Craft. “It’s like, yeah, I know I can be a little hard to handle, but you could at least give me something better than just disappearing. A little effort goes a long way, even if it’s just a well-placed lie.”

In a world where ghosting is more common than closure, "Lie A Little" taps into the modern breakup experience—where goodbyes often happen without a word. The song’s easygoing, almost resigned energy gives it a unique edge, balancing hurt with the kind of detached, road-worn acceptance that comes with always being on the go.

On top of new music, Ashland Craft continues to make waves on the road, recently announcing that she will join Luke Bryan for select dates on his 2025 “Country Song Came On” Tour. She’s also set to take the stage at major festivals this summer, including Tortuga Music Festival and Field & Stream Festival, bringing her signature sound to fans across the country.
