Ashland Set To Join Cody Johnson and Tucker Wetmore on Tour This Fall

Ashland Craft has just released her latest single and her very first love song, “Morning Person,” a soulful track that showcases her signature blend of heartfelt lyrics and captivating melodies. The song, co-written with Trannie Anderson, Faren Rachels and Dallas Wilson.

“Morning Person” tells the story of an unexpected transformation - of finding love that turns a night owl into someone who embraces the morning, savoring the start of each new day beside the one they love. With lyrics that paint vivid pictures of blacked-out blinds, tangled sheets, and the warmth of waking up next to someone special, Craft delivers a relatable narrative that speaks to the power of love to change even the most ingrained habits.

Reflecting on the song, Craft says, “This song title sat in my phone for a hot minute, thinking I would just write a song about ‘not being a morning person’ (my Night Owls know what I’m saying) but thanks to my co-writers, Trannie Anderson, Faren Rachels and Dallas Wilson, it turned into something so much more meaningful than just that. It’s not only the first ‘love song’ that I’ve ever released, but for me it’s representative of finding comfort and peace in life that you didn’t quite have before. This song marks a new day, and a sweeter outlook on life.”

Ashland recently made her Grand Ole Opry debut marking a significant milestone in her career. The special invitation to perform at the Opry was extended by country superstar Cody Johnson while fellow artist, Ashley McBryde, surprised Ashland backstage to celebrate the momentous occasion and introduced Ashland as she stepped into the sacred circle for the very first time.

Ashland Craft firmly established her unique brand of country music with the release of her debut album, Travelin’ Kind. Named as one of CMT’s Next Women of Country and Pandora’s Country Artists to Watch, Ashland has earned high praise from critics and fans alike. American Songwriter declares, “there’s a new country badass in town, and her name is Ashland Craft,” noting “star quality flying out of her boots.” Additionally, Nashville Lifestyles adds, “with equal parts sass and strength, she’s poised to be a major voice in country music.”

In addition to her new release, Ashland Craft is set to hit the road this September supporting Cody Johnson on “The Leather Tour” as well as Tucker Wetmore on the “Waves on a Sunset” Tour. This follows an impressive summer where she has performed at several high-profile festivals, including CMA Fest, Summerfest, Oregon Jamboree, Watershed Music Festival, Bash on the Bay Music Fest and will appear at the upcoming Field & Stream Festival and the FoxFire Music & Arts Festival.
